THE JOURNEY OF THE HAPPY CAMEL
Believe it or not, The Happy Camel began in the basement of our family home. We started out selling a variety of dips and salads at small farmers markets throughout Edmonton in 1998. Our business started growing when we found a home at the Old Strathcona Farmers Market where, to this day, people line up just to buy our tasty products.
With the amazing response to our dips and salads, it only seemed natural to add pita bread too! So, we travelled to our home village to learn the secrets of baking the perfect pita bread. We returned from this trip with two electric pots, which we used at the time to bake our pitas one by one.
